Computer Security and Cyber Threat Protection SAN DIEGO, CA, October 1, 2015 — With the ongoing cyber security threats within the Department of Defense and its contractors, CP Technologies is proactively addressing cyber security issues by following multiple cyber security standards for guidance in implementing our security policies. Frameworks such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework and the 20 Critical Security Controls provide comprehensive details about best practices and compliance requirements to meet our clients’ needs.

For our internal aspects on addressing the cyber threats, CP Technologies takes a higher standard measure by having a secured facility, utilization of complex passwords, strict network policy, establishing a Cyber Incident Response Plan and following the NIST-Cybersecurity Framework.

Part of our product manufacturing practices include following best practices within the NIST Standards for volatile and non-volatile memory to assure that there are no spyware/malware/virus embedded into the systems we supply. These are supported by our Statements of Volatility.

As part of our on-going policy to prevent counterfeit components, CP Technologies evaluates our vendors’ traceability in their products and the Chain of Custody throughout our supply chain to ensure system security and reliability. CP Technologies’ strategy is to assure our customers that we understand the criticality of maintaining physical security, logical security and following best practices for eliminating cyber threats.
